Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) for LGBT service users in Birmingham
Full-time, 37 hours per week
Birmingham LGBT is recruiting a full-time IDVA to work with LGBT service users in Birmingham, offering support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning to LGBT survivors of domestic violence, as part of our IDVA team, based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in Birmingham city centre.
We recognise the importance and advantages of diverse workplaces and communities, and we acknowledge under-representation in our workforce of people from the Black, Asian, Global Majority, Romany and Irish Traveller communities, and people with lived experience of migration. We particularly welcome applicants from these backgrounds and lived experience.
The salary for this post is £27,233 per year, plus up to 5% matched employer pension contribution.
This is a full-time post, 37 hours per week (and may involve some evening and weekend working) and offers 25 days’ paid annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays.
A full enhanced DBS check and two employment references will be required for this role.
