Sheila Edwards, Business Development Manager
Sheila has worked in the charity and social enterprise sectors for almost 30 years and has masses of experience across all aspects of business development and income generation. She is passionate about creating positive social impact and empowering others to achieve their potential.
When she isn’t working for Birmingham LGBT she freelances in the sector – and in her spare time she likes to write and to spend time with friends. She loves all things sci-fi and fantasy!!!

Jo Muskett, Operations Manager Wellbeing Services
Jo worked in the arts for over 20 years, specialising in arts marketing and audience development. She spent 18 years working at the Coventry museums, in particular The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Coventry Transport Museum, ultimately leading a successful team as Director of Marketing and Communications. During her time there, she led on all exhibition launches, and was responsible for marketing for exhibitions, events, families, learning, and the permanent offer. She was the Director of Audiences and Programmes at Banbury Museum, leading on the restructure of the team and exhibition programming strategy, increasing income generation and long term sustainability.
In 2019 Jo moved to Birmingham LGBT as Operations Manager, managing a wide range of externally funded projects including the Trans Inclusion Project, 50+ Wellbeing, Counselling and Shout Festival of Queer Arts and Culture as well as the day to day running of the LGBT Centre. She has a passion for making a difference, particularly through widening access to arts and culture for the intersections of the incredibly diverse queer community.

Matt Lopez, Sexual Health Service Manager
Matt has almost 30 years experience working in various care and support settings. From the mid 90’s he worked in community settings with those with mental health issues and learning disabilities before moving to work for a HIV and sexual health charity in Dudley and Sandwell in the early 2000’s. Matt joined Birmingham LGBT in 2016 as the Sexual Health Services Manager.

Steph Keeble, Director
Steph Keeble is the Director of Birmingham LGBT a registered charity and company limited by guarantee providing a range of holistic services to the LGBT community in Birmingham including sexual health promotion, mental health and wellbeing services, older peoples support, youth work and specialist LGBT IDVA services.
Steph, a Social science graduate, has 30 years’ experience in the third sector where she started her career as a drugs worker providing harm minimisation services including HIV pre and post test counselling to IV drug users. Steph was previously the CEO of a Domestic Abuse service and played a key role in Gloucestershire’s community coordinated response to Domestic Abuse.
She has a proven track record in managing grants and contracts, delivering outcomes and managing staff and projects. During her time at Birmingham LGBT she has overseen the opening of the first LGBT health and wellbeing centre in England and Wales in 2013 and successfully partnered with University Hospital Trust Birmingham to deliver sexual health services to the LGBT community in Birmingham and Solihull in 2015, this includes a sexual health promotion service targeting the trans community. The centre now delivers a wide range of services to the LGBTQIA+ community in the city and wider West Midlands. In 2018 Birmingham LGBT became one of eight GSK/ Kings fund impact award winners recognising the impact the organisation has had in improving health outcomes for LGBT people.
