Substance Support Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is recruiting an Outreach Worker to join our Substance Support team to work to identify and support individuals with substance misuse issues, including chemsex, and to reduce the incidence of poor health among LGBTQ+ people and men who have sex with men (MSM) in Birmingham and Solihull, and to support the development of a bespoke substance support service which addresses the barriers faced by LGBTQ+ people and MSM in accessing mainstream services.

 

The successful applicants will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in central Birmingham.

Salary £25,536 (pro-rata approx. 50%) plus up to 5% matched pension contributions
Based at Birmingham LGBT Centre, 151 Hurst Street, Birmingham B5 6EW, with some travel to other sites in Birmingham and Solihull.
Working hours 18.5 hours per week, on a rota basis to include some evenings and Saturdays.
Annual leave 25 days (pro-rata approx. 50%) plus bank holidays.
Reports to Substance Support Team Leader
