GBMSM Sexual Health Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is recruiting a Sexual Health Outreach Worker to join our Sexual Health team to work to reduce the incidence of sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) and late diagnosis of HIV among Gay, Bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) in Birmingham and Solihull, and to provide sexual health and wellbeing promotion work that meets their needs and addresses barriers faced for this group in accessing mainstream services.

Experience and understanding of the needs of GBMSM is essential for this role. Training in HIV/STI testing will be provided.

The successful applicants will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in central Birmingham.

Salary £25,536 (pro-rata approx. 50%) plus up to 5% matched pension contributions
Based at Birmingham LGBT Centre, 151 Hurst Street, Birmingham B5 6EW, with some travel to other sites in Birmingham and Solihull.
Working hours 18.5 hours per week, on a rota basis to include some evenings and Saturdays.
Annual leave 25 days (pro-rata approx. 50%) plus bank holidays.
Reports to Manager, Sexual Health
