WHEN: Sun 19th March & Sat 13th May
TIME: 10:15-16:15
WHERE: Birmingham LGBT
WHAT:

If you need an uplift and want to discover new ways of building confidence, this course is for you.

Join social psychologist and solution focused life coach Dr. Gary Wood, on either Sun 19th March or Sat 13th May, as he uses largely informal techniques to help you examine your thoughts, feelings, and actions and their impact on your confidence.

This popular workshop has featured in Mind-Body-Spirit festivals across the UK and is based on Gary’s book ‘Unlock Your Confidence’. It introduces the idea of confidence-karma, that is, how we boost our own confidence by focusing on building confidence in others. It’s self help with a social-conscience.  You will explore your values, how they relate to your goals and how your attitudes can hold you back or push you forward. Throughout this fun but thought provoking day, you’ll explore mindfulness, role play, improvisation games, group discussion, a bit of writing and maybe even a balloon or two. Not to be missed.

Dr Gary Wood is a chartered psychologist, solution focused life coach and is author of ‘Unlock Your Confidence’. He is based in Birmingham and Edinburgh, UK, where he runs his coaching and training practice, and research consultancy. He has taught psychology in several UK universities and is regularly quoted in the media. His previous book ‘Don’t Wait For Your Ship to Come In. . . Swim Out to Meet It’ has been translated into several languages. In his spare time he eats, sleeps, reads and occasionally sings.

Please note that this is a one day course designed for members of the LGBT community. Availability is strictly limited, for all enquiries and to book your place please contact adamcarver@blgbt.org
