Our Sexual Health team runs an STI Testing Service at Birmingham LGBT Centre, 151 Hurst Street, Birmingham B5 6EW. This service is designed for people without symptoms. The service is walk-in (first come, first served) and is available at these times:
Monday: 10am to 5pm
Tuesday: 10am to 5pm
Wednesday: 4.30pm to 5pm
Thursday: 4.30pm to 8pm
Friday: 10am to 8pm
Saturday: 10.30am to 5pm
You will be given the result of the HIV test immediately, the results of the other tests will be texted to your phone around 10 days after the test. The tests are free of charge.
Our clinic is closed on Sundays.
If you’d prefer to make an appointment for a specific date and time, or if you have symptoms of an STI (e.g. rash, discharge, swelling, itching) and require drugs to treat it, then please phone Umbrella Health on 0121 237 5700 to make an appointment at their doctor-and-nurse-led clinic at Whittall Street, Birmingham B4 6DH. You can go to the clinic without an appointment, but you may have to wait to be seen.
Umbrella Health also operate an STI clinic at 65 New Street, Birmingham B2 4DU for people aged under 25. You can make an appointment there by calling 0121 237 5700. You can go to the clinic without an appointment, but you may have to wait to be seen.
