On 26th June 80 members of the LGBT community and representatives from 4 of the main political parties took part in a LGBT hustings at the Nightingale Club in Birmingham’s Gay Village.
Queer Question Time followed the format of the popular BBC TV programme and included questions on trans rights, LGBT safe spaces and immigration. The panelists were:
Councillor David Barker (Labour)
Lee Dargue (Lib Dems)
Councillor Gareth Moore (Conservative)
Nicola Payne (Green Party)
Max Windsor–Peplow, the Reform UK candidate failed to attend
Steve Ball, who chaired the event said
