On 8th March 2018 Birmingham LGBT will join the rest of the world in celebrating International Women’s Day.
The day is a call for collective action for women’s equality, as well as a celebration of the achievements of women throughout history.
This year’s theme is #PressforProgress – asking us to press forward to accelerate gender parity.
We will be opening up our centre to talk about women’s health and also inviting women to our newly launched Well Woman Clinic.
The Well Woman Clinic is a nurse-led clinic offering HIV tests, STI screening, contraception advice and cervical smear tests, as well as one to one support and advice about all aspects of women’s sexual health and wellbeing.
You will also be able to speak to Lu Skerratt, our dedicated, Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer women’s worker about any worries or queries you may have!
So come in for a brew or a chat and learn how we’re campaigning to change the inequalities in lesbian, bi and queer women’s healthcare.
Time: 2-7pm
Date: Wednesday 7 March 2018
Place: The Café, Birmingham LGBT Centre
All are welcome, see you there!
