Rainbow Roundtable = discussion with LGBTQ+ communities to improve health & wellbeing
Birmingham LGBT, working with Birmingham’s Public Health Division, wants to understand how we can support trans and non-binary people to access safe and timely blood monitoring, particularly where you cannot access this via the NHS. We want to hear from people currently access hormone treatment through primary care, gender identity clinics or self-administered methods, as well as from people who are not currently accessing hormone treatment but have done so in the past or may do so in the future.
Refreshments will be provided, and participants will receive a £50 voucher for taking part and travel expenses will be covered.
The event will be facilitated by Jed Jerwood (he/him) and Rowan Humphries-Massey (they/them) as part of a community consultation to explore the needs of trans and non-binary communities in accessing safe and timely blood monitoring for gender affirming hormone treatment. In addition to our workshop event, you can take part in an online survey or a 1-2-1 interview.
