Journey Film Club Presents Screening of LGBTQ+ Classic Beautiful Thing
Journey Film Club is proud to announce a special community screening of Beautiful Thing, a landmark British LGBTQ+ film, on Thursday, 7th August at 6:30 PM at the Birmingham LGBT Centre just a £1 entry
It’s written by Jonathan Harvey, Beautiful Thing (1996) tells the heartfelt story of Jamie and Ste, two teenagers growing up on a South London council estate who find love and courage amidst personal struggles and societal pressure. Featuring a nostalgic soundtrack by The Mamas & the Papas, the film is celebrated for its warmth, honesty, and emotional resonance.
The screening will take place in a welcoming, inclusive environment, continuing Journey Film Club’s commitment to showcasing stories that resonate with LGBTQ+ audiences and allies.
