Volunteer Receptionist

Volunteer receptionists provide a friendly but professional welcome to those visiting the centre.  First impressions are very important.  Many people are visiting for the first time, some are nervous or destressed so a friendly welcome can make a big difference to them.  The reception area contains a wide range of information on LGBT events and organisations directing people to relevant literature or the appropriate part of the Birmingham LGBT website is also an important part of the role.
