LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate, Birmingham: part time (18.5 hours per week)
Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a part time LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate Birmingham. The aim of the project is to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an LGBT IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.
We recognise the importance and advantages of diverse workplaces and communities, and we acknowledge under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian and global majority people; people who are Romany or Irish Traveller, and people with lived experience of migration. We particularly welcome applicants from those backgrounds, identities and lived experiences.
Terms: NJC scale point 17, £24,491 (pro rata £12,251) plus up to 5% matched pension contributions.
Part time 18.5 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work; 25 days pro rata annual leave entitlement. 3 year fixed term contract ongoing subject to funding.
Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a Sexual Health Promotion Worker for South Asian & Middle Eastern men who have sex with men (MSM). The aim of the role is to develop sexual health and well-being promotion work that meets the needs of South Asian and Middle Eastern MSM.
You will develop methods that will encourage South Asian and Middle Eastern MSM to engage in sexual health services and HIV/STI testing programmes through targeted work and outreach with these communities.
