The planned route
Here is the planned route.
The total planned route is 54 miles.
The plan is to do the trip with two ‘proper stops with a chance to grab a coffee and a cake’ – Stratford Riverside at 45km/27 miles, and Wedges Bakery (or another location around Hockley Heath area) at 72km/45 miles.
We’ll look to cycle at around 21kph/13mph and there is the opportunity for those who want to do fewer miles to cycle to Stratford and get the train back.
The route is mainly slightly downhill on the way and mainly slightly uphill on the way back.
- Cycle 2-2.5 hours
- Stop 1 hour
- Cycle 1.5-2 hours
- Stop 0.5 hours
- Cycle 1 hour
We would expect the ride to be back in Birmingham at teatime.
