As part of our FitFeb programme, there’s a fantastic opportunity for you to try indoor climbing and bouldering at our free taster sessions at Redpoint Climbing Centre in Birmingham City Centre.

In October our three groups achieved some fantastic roped climbs and bouldering with the guidance of their instructors. Would you like to have a go in February?

These taster sessions are perfect for beginners and newcomers to the sport and are open to anyone over the age of 18 in the LGBT community.

Tickets are limited – please only book if you are confident you will be able to attend. If you do book and realise you can’t make it after all, please either cancel your booking via Eventbrite or email activate@blgbt.org as soon as you can, so that someone else can have the place.

We may get in touch to ask you to reconfirm your attendance nearer the time to make sure that places aren’t wasted and we’ll operate a waiting list if needed.

Do sign up if you want to attend, even if the event is full, as if enough people want to climb we may be able to book another instructor for you!

Day: Sundays
Dates 18th February 2018, 25th February 2018
Times 18th 3:30-4:30pm, 25th 5-6pm
Location: Redpoint Birmingham Climbing Centre, 77 Cecil Street, B19 3ST

Please book via Eventbrite if you want to attend either of these sessions:

Please note that climbing does require a certain level of movement and physical ability. If you are unsure or would like to discuss access further please email activate@blgbt.org.

Participants will need to declare any medical conditions and sign on the day to confirm acceptance of risk and Redpoint’s group instruction rules.

If you can’t make these sessions but are interested in climbing, either as a new or experienced climber, please get in touch on activate@blgbt.org.

Take a look at the rest of our FitFeb programme and plan your month of activity – you can try water polo. football, yoga, fencing, ballet and more…

If you’d like to know more about climbing, have a look at Redpoint’s website, this BMC article on indoor climbing basics and this article from UK Climbing on LGBT climbing.
