Rainbow Ramble – Excitement in Perry Barr!
Posted on 11-07-2018 by Jack Deakin11am, Saturday 11th August
The Rainbow Rambles’ summer walk will take us along the River Tame into green landscapes, on to the site of the next Commonwealth Games and then along the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and finally back to Hamstead station where we started.
Though there are some steps this is basically an easy and dog friendly four mile circular ramble.
It will be led by Matt Gallon and Andrew Mitchell who will be pointing out places of interest, and telling us about the changes the Games will bring to the area.
We stop for our packed lunch part way round, and we are hoping there will be a cafe open at the end of the walk.
Meet the group outside the Rocky Lane entrance to Hamstead rail station from 10.30am ready to start walking at 11am and, as always, we will go whatever the weather.
Car parking is limited near to the station, however there are spaces in the streets near to the Lidl store close by (B42 1NN).
Please bring a packed lunch and wear comfortable footwear.
Come and make new friends 😊
