Fitness February – Half way point!

Posted on 14-02-2018 by Sarah Hinksman

We’re half way through #FitFebBrum,  our month-long special programme of free sports, activities and fitness tasters for the LGBT Community in Birmingham.

There’s been something every single day of February so far for you to try – and it’s the same for the remainder of the month.

If you’ve not had a chance to get along to a session yet, go for it – get some in your calendar and come along!

Alan went to our karate taster at the Budokan earlier in the month and enthused; “I really enjoyed karate. I usually run with the Swifts and this was a great chance to try something totally different, involving different muscle groups. The session was fun and the instructor really good and welcoming.”

You can….

Get your skates on with the Blitz Dames in our Roller Derby taster.

Reach new heights at Redpoint in our indoor climbing  sessions.

Get started with swim/bike/run with our freestyle swimming technique for triathlon session.

Score a goal with the Bluefins at Water Polo or a try with the Bulls on the Rugby field.

And/or try Badminton, Running, Swimming, Yoga, Football, Ballet Active, Bollywood Dancing, Line Dancing, Aerobics, Fencing, Kettlebells, Boxercise, Table Tennis, Circuits or Pilates

What will you try?

Here’s the full timetable and programme.

And don’t forget the all-welcome sports after-party in Birmingham City Centre Saturday 24 February, hosted by our local LGBT sports clubs:
Starting at 4:45pm in Eden to watch the 6 Nations Rugby
Followed by the all-important Disco Nap before….
9pm – Meet at The Fox
Around 10pm – pub crawl around Birmingham’s Gay Village
Around 11pm – Eden for Mary Mac
